Afcons Infrastructure has emerged as the lowest bidder for the civil construction work (designated as Package UG-03) concerning the upcoming Phase 1C of the Jaipur Metro. This phase, spanning 3.41 kilometers, will create a connection between Badi Chaupar and Transport Nagar, effectively extending Jaipur's operational Pink Line (Mansarovar – Badi Chaupar) by 11.98 kilometers towards the east, reaching Transport Nagar. The construction plan entails 2.65 kilometers of underground route, involving twin tunnels passing through the historic city, and the addition of a new station named Ramganj Chaupar. Additionally, an elevated route of 0.76 kilometers will be established, featuring a new station at Transport Nagar.

Brief Scope of Project:
In June 2020, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Jaipur Metro Phase 1C was formulated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). This comprehensive report projected a total cost of Rs. 856 crore, encompassing taxes and land acquisition expenses.
In January 2023, DMRC was appointed as the General Consultant for the project. Their prior recommendation emphasized that the existing fleet of 10 4-car BEML train-sets would suffice for this modest extension, negating the need for additional rolling stock.
