On Monday, Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HRIDC) opened technical bids for the construction of Package C-6, a 64.53 km section of the 121.7 km Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC). This prompted twelve firms to submit their bids for this significant part of Haryana’s first semi high-speed rail line.
Scope of Package C-6: Package C-6 will link HORC’s New Patli Station (chainage km 61.50) with the Indian Railways’ Harsana Kalan Station (chainage km 126.03) on the north-west side of the line. It also includes constructing two spurs—one from HORC’s Badsa Station to IR’s Sultanpur Station, and another from HORC’s Mandothi Station to IR’s Asaudah Station.
HRIDC issued the tender for this package in March 2024, setting a three-year completion timeline. Although the project’s estimated cost remains undisclosed, it is speculated to be around Rs. 1900 crore.
List of Bidders:
Brief Scope of C-6: The project involves the design and construction of civil works (including earthwork, bridges, station buildings, retaining walls, and miscellaneous works) and general electrical services from km 61.50 to km 126.03. This stretch connects HORC’s New Patli Station with the IR’s Harsana Kalan Station and includes connectivity from HORC’s Badsa Station to IR’s Sultanpur Station and from HORC’s Mandothi Station to IR’s Asaudah Station for laying a new BG double railway line.
Route and Financing: C-6 is the longest segment of the HORC project and will be funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) through two loans totaling USD 450 million. The project route is highlighted in red on the HORC project map.

Next Steps: The technical bids will undergo evaluation over the next few months. After this assessment, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to determine the lowest bidder and potential contractor.
